The Graduate Program in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Biochemistry (MCB) is a truly interdisciplinary and interdepartmental program that offers students of superior ability and motivation excellent preparation for a career that includes research in biological and medical sciences.

Degree Programs
Doctoral study in MCB culminates in the PhD degree. Students may pursue training along 3 tracks: aging; genetics, genomics and systems biology; and computational molecular biology.
The 5th-Year Master's Degree provides a pathway to a Master of Arts or a Master of Science in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Biochemistry for Brown undergraduate students. Students must apply for this program before they complete their undergraduate studies.
